• Youth Cafe coming to Mellor Village hall…for year 7s and older starting on Saturday 23rd June, from 7pm to 9pm, just walk in, watch some TV, listen to music or just chat with friends. Free refreshments and hot dogs only 50p!

• Youth Club? Lots of people say we need a youth club here in the village. Who is willing to get involved?

• Tennis court...adjacent to the village hall is a tarmac sports area which has a   marked out court and tennis net. The court has been treated to remove moss and new lines will be painted shortly. Use of the court is free and no booking is required. Please be considerate on how long you use the court for.

• Wild Flower meadow at the village hall…A suggestion has been made for some of the lawned area around the village hall to be turned into a wild flower meadow and shrubs also planted to make the area more appealing and attract wildlife. What would you like to see happen in the grounds around the hall?

• Diamond Jubilee Beacon…Monday 4th June…from 7pm the Pop Up Cafe will be open at  the Village Hall and at 9.30 pm all will process to the top of the moor for the lighting of the beacon at 10.15pm.

• Constitution...The new Mellor Community Association constitution has now been approved. Why is this important? The constitution of the association was first put in place in the early 1980s and has been added to and amended over time. It became out of date and not fit for purpose for these times. We needed a modern constitution to better run the association and this is a requirement of  most grant giving bodies. We want to access grants such as lottery funding to improve facilities; this will help. The constitution document can be accessed through this link…constitution.
